Danielle MacDonald has achieved the prestigious status of two time Certified Master Groomer. Some have gone on to become business owners and others to be grooming show competitors. # Danielle has owned and operated two successful dog grooming salons in Abbotsford since 1987, winning 'Best Dog Groomer' four times! Danielle has also managed two other well established, dog grooming businesses.# A qualified educator in her field, Danielle has apprenticed and trained several top groomers to Certified Master Groomer levels. # Danielle is a qualified Pawspoint Reflexologist for Animals, where she studied under Yvette Eastman, from the TouchPoint Institute of Reflexology and Kinesthetics, a renowned leader in the field. She is an Animal Massage Practitioner through a course accredited with the Association of Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP) and the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). This led to an interest in the dog sport of Schutzhund, as well as conformation dog shows and she began breeding German import bloodlines, under the registered Canadian Kennel Club prefix WestStorm German Shepherds. ICMG and ICMPS Certified Dog Groomers have voluntarily submitted to and successfully completed extensive written and practical skills examinations. ICMPS (Internationaly Certified Master Pet Stylist) with the International Society of Canine Cosmetologists, ICMG (Internationally Certified Master Groomer) through the International Professional Groomers Association.Both of these organizations provide a comprehensive, multi-level certification program in order to establish acceptable and recognizable standards of pet styling excellence. Danielle has written popular pet advice columns for both Petigree Magazine and Modern Dog Magazine.
